GRINDING LINES FOR BLOCKS

Grinding lines for blocks allow for accurate height adjustment for concrete products. The grinding line can be supplied separately or added to our existing line above the return conveyor in front of the packing machine, if there is enough space.

MEASUREMENT FROM FIVE DIFFERENT POINTS

Height measurement for calibrated blocks and height adjustment for the grinding units are done automatically. The measuring will be done from five different points after the grinding by a special measuring device. The height position of the measuring device will be adjusted according to the nominal thickness of the bricks manually. The automatic adjustment compensates for the wearing of the blades. Additionally, the system reports undersized products.

The processing is “dry grinding” and the calibration plates are covered with dust protection hoods. The out-feed conveyor can be rotated or moved out of the way of the tamper head when grinding is not used.

OPERATION OF THE GRINDING LINE

Every set of the blocks moves automatically to the grinding by the feeding belt conveyors. The blocks move during grinding. The grinding units are fixed to the machine body, but can be manually moved transversally to another location. The height of the blocks is being continuously measured and if the measurement is out of the tolerance area, the height of the grinding units will be automatically adjusted accordingly. After grinding, the out-feed conveyor takes the blocks to the packing machine.
