Mecmetal Oy on saanut vuonna 2024 Euroopan aluekehitysrahastosta tukea tänä aikana suoritettavaan kansainvälistymishankkeeseen. Hankerahoituksen avulla Mecmetal Oy suorittaa Ukrainan jälleenrakentamisen ja sen lähialueiden markkinapotentiaalin tutkimista ja kansainvälisen kasvun toimenpiteiden edistämistä. Hanke sisältää kohdealueen markkinatutkimuksen alueella olevista toimijoista sekä mahdollisten yhteistyökumppaneiden selvittämistä. Hankkeella on merkittävä vaikutus yrityksen kansainvälistymiseen, kehittymiseen ja kasvuun. Hanke on osa Uudistuva ja osaava Suomi 2021–2027 EU:n alue- ja rakennepolitiikan ohjelmaa.

Erinomainen ja lukemisen arvoinen artikkeli, kuinka rohkealla Suomalaisella teknologiaosaamisella ja hyvällä yhteistyöllä saadaan konkreettista vaikutusta päästöjen vähentämiseksi ja taloudellisesti jopa kannattavammaksi perinteisiin menetelmiin verrattuna 🔑 On ollut hienoa päästä osallistumaan kehitystyöhön alusta asti ja saada paljon lisäoppia hiilidioksidikäsittelystä ja sen ympäriltä mutta myös tuomaan lisäarvoa teknologian teollisen mittakaavan skaalautumiseen omalla erikoisosaamisellamme, niin kuin tässä tapauksessa kuivatuskammion yhteensovittamisella MEC linjastoon. Betonituotekone valmistajana panostamme tuotekehityksessä erityisesti laadukkaisiin ja vähäpäästöisiin raaka-aineisiin sekä laitteiden tuotantokapasiteettiin ja kustannustehokkuuteen. Vuodesta 2021 lähtien valmistamamme servoteknologialla toimivat betonituotekoneemme ja linjastot kuluttavat jopa 90%* vähemmän sähköä, joka vaikuttaa EPD-arvon laskemiseen sekä tuo käyttäjälleen vuosien aikana satojen tuhansien eurojen säästöt. Tällä viikolla kokoonpanon puolella on riittänyt tekemistä useamman projektin kanssa, joista yksi näky kuvissa. Kyseessä on betonijassikka, nostokuuppa, tai valuastia, rakkaalla lapsella monta nimeä. Kaikessa yksinkertaisuudessaan punaisen pöntön tarkoituksena on siirtää betonimassa myllystä suoraan haluttuun valupaikkaan ja annostella valettavan massan määrää pohjassa olevan luukun kautta. Kuten betonivalujen kanssa tekemisessä olleet tietää, valu paikat, muotit ja asennot eivät ole kahta kertaa samoja. Olemme vuosia toimittaneet kauko-ohjattavia valuastioita, jonka avulla massan annostelu onnistuu turvallisesti sekä tarkasti, maasta käsin. Did you know?💡 Shown in the pictures is just finished concrete block machine mold, which is shipped to our customer. But where do they use it?The mold (bottom part) and the tamper head (top part) are installed to block machine. Lifting operations lowers the mold to the right level. Then, Filling car with full of concrete mass, fills the empty slots of mold and tamper lowers to the surface and presses with not just power but also right frequency to make sure concrete mass is filled evenly in every spot and no cracks occur in products. Then the machine lifts the mold and tamper head and reveals ready shaped concrete products. The same shaped products we use to build houses, pavement paths at summer cottages and avoid scratching car rims at parking lots. Concrete steps for greener production 🔄 While we have our own MEC Evolution-20 concrete product machine at our facility for R&D purposes. It has created beneficial opportunity for customers and for us to have test drives with mass for new product innovations and future investments. This week we had an honor test driving with customer, a new mix for concrete blocks which was made with recycled materials. Test was successful and both were happy with the results although there are always room for an improvement📈 #concreteevolution #greenconstruction #innovation #savethepolarbear

Isoveli ja pikkuveli ⬇ Betonituotekoneen uudet massasuppilot valmiina toimitukseen edellisten tullessa elinkaarensa loppupäähän. Nämä suppilot ovat osa isompaa kuvaa, sillä ne edustavat yrityksemme elinkaaripalvelujen onnistumista. Jatkuva yhteistyö tarpeiden ja kehitysideoiden ymmärtämiseksi ovat avainasemassa asiakaslähtöisten ratkaisujen toteuttamisessa ja pitkäkestoisten asiakassuhteiden rakentamisessa.🔗Miten massasuppilot liittyvät elinkaaripalveluihin?Massasuppilon teknillinen elinikä on +10v ja asiakkaallamme tuo aika ylittyi reilusti. Ajan saatossa suppilon pinta kuluu ja siihen yhdistettynä erilainen massaseos sekä terävät kulmat, aiheutti ongelmana massan kiinnijäämisen suppilon kulmiin. Tämä vuorostaan aiheutti päivittäisen kiipeämisen tuotekoneen päälle ja suppilon puhdistamisen. Ratkaisuna ongelmaan oli tehdä uudet suppilot jatkossa viistetyillä kulmilla ja suojata suppilot kulutusmuovilla. Näin betonimassa jatkossakin varmasti valuu alaspäin ja suppilon rakenteet eivät kulu. Valmismitoitetut muovit on myös helppo vaihtaa pulttikiinnityksen vuoksi.💡Suunnittelu ja toteutus onnistui hyvin ja nyt jäämme odottamaan palautetta asiakkaalta. ✏#concreteevolution #mecmetaloy

The big brother and the little brother ⬇ Ready to ship product machine mass cones for our customer after the first one came to end of a life cycle. These mass cones stand as an important mark as one of our core values, to be continuous co-operation with customers to understand the needs and improvements for providing more customer specific solutions.🔗 The backstory was that the customer had problems with concrete mix stuck at the corners of the cones and causing one man to climbing on top of the machine and clean dried concrete off every day. This was a combination of wore cone surface and sharp corners and specific concrete mix. The solution was to cut corners short” by making corners more open and covering the inside of the cone with wear plastic sheets. Guaranteeing concrete mix sliding down as it should and what comes to maintenance side, the sheets are quick to replace.💡 The result was just as planned, now we shall wait for feedback from the customer.✏ #concrete #concreteevolution #mecmetaloy

Useimmiten tämä on johtanut mullistaviin innovaatioihin ja jatkuvaan kehitykseen yrittäessämme tehdä asioita tehokkaammin, mutta joskus se johtaa tärkeiden asioiden pudottamiseen pois prioriteettilistalta.Toimialallamme, betonituotteiden valmistusteollisuudessa, työ voi olla usein toistuvaa ja siksi tietyt tottumukset opitaan nopeasti. Toistuva työ yhdistettynä jos se ei ole rikki, älä korjaa -mentaliteettiin voi ajan kuluessa johtaa asioiden oikomiseen ja jopa sokeuttaa omalta toiminnaltaan. Tehtaissa olemme nähneet tämän monta kertaa, kun ihmisten turvallisuus ja tuotanto vaarantuvat tahattomasti.❌ Tässä tapauksessa, sähkö- ja automaatiotarkastuksen aikana. Asiakas on harjoittanut menestyvää betonituotteiden valmistusta jo vuosikymmenten ajan, mikä myös tarkoittaa vuosien aikana kehittyneitä rutiineja ja työtapoja. Sähkö- ja automaatio osien turvallisuudessa on kaksi ensisijaisen tärkeää sääntöä. Niihin ei saa koskaan koskea, ellei ole vaadittu, eikä niitä saa käyttää varastotilana, vaikka ne tarjoaisivatkin erinomaisen säilytystilan. Näillä säännöillä on syynsä, sillä johtojen läpi kulkee 230 volttinen jännite. Kun johdot altistuvat kulumiselle varastoimalla työkaluja ja tarvikkeita niiden päälle, on vain ajan kysymys, milloin joku saa sähköiskun. This was really a wake up call” As humans, we tend to learn new habits quickly if it means better results with the same work. Most of the time this leads to great innovations and constant evolving as we try to make things more efficient but sometimes it leads to important things to drop down at the priority list. In our line of work, in the concrete product production industry, day-to-day life can be a bit repetitive and therefore habits are learnt fast. Repetitive work mixed with if it`s not broken, don’t fix it” -mentality, has led to many shortcuts and caused even blindness to our own actions. In factories, we have seen this many times when people’s safety and production is put at risk unintentionally. ⚠ In this case, during our electric- and automation inspection. The customer has run a successful concrete product manufacturing business for many decades. With so many years, comes the routines and habits, and if there ́s two things to say about safety of electric and automation parts, is that you should never touch them unless required or use them as a storage facility even if it offers great un-used space. Those rules are for a reason. Through wires run 230 voltages and when these wires are exposed to wear and tear over time by storing tools and accessories on top of them, it is only matter of time when someone gets an electric shock. By using cabinets as storage, it is not only risking people’s health, but it is causing production line computers to be exposed to dust and dirt which block airways and can cause overheating and system failures. It is impossible to make the change if there is no vision for it, therefore we offer an external view for every concrete product manufacturer. An inspection of the current state of every electric and automation part of the production line and check if those are up to safety code. The report also includes recommendations for possible upgrades and a spare part list with availability for the maintenance. Tässä postauksessa perehdymme syvemmin yhteen suosituimmista MEC Inspections palveluista nimeltä Mechanical inspection ja kerromme, kuinka se säästi asiakkaan tuotantolinjan tarpeettomilta seisokeilta keskellä tuotantokautta🔧 Tässä tapauksessa. Tuotantolinjan mekaaninen tarkastus suoritettiin syksyllä 2022 betonituotetehtaalla. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää tuotantolinjan mekaanisten, kulutusosien ja rakenneosien nykyinen kunto. Mechanical inspection tarkastuksessa on yli 100 tarkastuspistettä, jotka määräytyvät tuotantolinjasta saatujen ennakkotietojen perusteella. Lista takaa systemaattisen ja täsmällisen tarkastuksen, joka tavallisesti unohtuu päivittäisessä tuotannossa kiireen ja muun ohella niin kuin asiakkaamme tapauksessa.Havainnot. Tuotantolinjan yleisilme oli siisti, linjaston liikkeet suoriutuivat ajallaan eikä ylimääräisiä ääniä kuulunut, homma siis toimi kuten pitääkin. Mutta, kun tarkastaja astui lähemmäs ja kävi pidemmälle tarkastuspiste listaa, hän havaitsi useita puutteita, kuten halkeamia rungossa, rikkoutuneita tiivisteitä, öljyvuotoja ja lähes poikkiolevan kuljetinhihnan. Suurin osa löydetyistä puutteista ei ollut suuririskisiä, mutta ne, jotka olivat, korjautettiin välittömästi. In this post we will take a deeper look at one of the most popular MEC Inspections services, called Mechanical inspection, and tell how it saved the customer production line from unnecessary shutdowns in the middle of the season⛔ In this case. The mechanical inspection of the production line was carried out in autumn 2022 at concrete product factory. The purpose was to determine the current condition of the production line mechanical-, spare- and structural parts. The inspection includes over 100 checkpoints that are determined by given foreknowledge of the production line. The list guarantees systematic and specific inspection, which is usually forgotten in day-to-day production as this was our customer’s case. Outcome. The overall look of the production line was clean, movements were executed on time and no extra noises, as it should be. However, as inspector dove deeper, he found multiple flaws like cracks on frame, broken seals, oil leaks and ready to snap conveyor belt. Most of the found flaws weren`t high risk but those that were, got fixed. The customer continued recommended maintenance to avoid unwanted production stoppages and increase production line longevity. Our partnership continues for years to come.
